There are several features that we want to add to Writing Sprout, but for one reason or another we aren't able to right now. Below is a list of those features with a brief description of what they would entail. Give it a read to see the exciting things in store for Writing Sprout!

Community Writing Projects
What would it be like if the entire Writing Sprout community worked collaboratively on a single story or play? It's our intent to find out sometime in the future, but it will require a good bit of thought first to ensure it still has the remnants of organization. Anarchy is fun but not practical!

Writing Competitions
You love to write, so why not get rewarded for doing so? Competitions will be a great way to encourage members to push the boundaries of what they've done in the past. Even those that don't win will come out better then when they went in. The hope is to have the members vote for who wins.

Member of the Week/Month
The devoted members of Writing Sprout most certainly deserve to get their moment in the spot light. We'll be waiting until we have a larger population before starting this. Pretty straight forward, eh?

Word of the Day/Week
When we add this to Writing Sprout rest assured that it won't just be us posting a word and its definition. No, we have much more devious plans for this feature.

Site members will be given a short description of the word they're looking for, but after that it's up to them. A thread will be made available to members trying to find the right word, which will be designated by a small graphic next to it. The first member to post the word and its definition will get bragging rights until the next round.

Ask the Editor(s)
There are times when you have a nagging question on some aspect of the writing process, but you just can't seem to find an answer specific to your situation. This weekly article would give you a chance to get answers to those questions from the editors of Writing Sprout.
