At Writing Sprout our goal is simply to help writers grow. We achieve this by providing our members with three things vital to any writer's success: information, relationships, and feedback.
Information
The articles that you'll find here are filled with information you can apply to your writing immediately. We won't make the obtuse claim that everything you read will be applicable to your writing as every writer is different. With this in mind, we've made it a point to let as many voices be heard as possible, letting you be the judge of what information presented within the guide you want to use while writing.
The only way this is possible is through our open, community-created Writing Guide. The wiki style system allows any member to add pages or make edits, while our guidelines help ensure everyone continues to work in unison towards our common goals. All our members have a role to play in making it a success, so if you haven't gotten involved yet there's no better time to do so.
Feedback
Every writer has strengths and weaknesses, and Writing Sprout allows you to utilize both. Members are encouraged to post their work in our Writing Room, allowing others to comment on and critique what they've created. Along with this we post a new "Prompt of the Week" every Monday to help spark the creativity of our members and challenge them to step out of their comfort zone.
Take a few minutes today and write a response to this week's Prompt of the Week, after which you can comment on another member's work. It's never been easier to learn from others, or to help others learn from yourself!
Relationships
Let's face it: writing can be a very lonely calling. At Writing Sprout each member is given a customizable profile page to call home, on which they can share their work, add friends, update their status and more. Through built in features such as Instant Messaging and our Groups page we make it easy to meet other writers. Who knows, the relationships you make here may very well be with you for the rest of your writing career.
Whether writing is your hobby or profession, we know you'll find people to grow with at Writing Sprout. Start today by joining a group that shares common interests with yourself.
Remember, Writing Sprout is where writers grow.
If you haven't joined us yet we welcome you to do so today using an account you already have (Yahoo!, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress, or Blogger) or by registering one with us. We're confident you won't find a community more willing or able to help improve your writing.
